I noticed today that the price that Russia fixed for purchasing gold was set at 5000 Rubles per gram. At the time that was 20% below the market price.
The Ruble has since strengthened and now the fix price is above the market price. The current market price is 4,979 RUB per gram.
The return to gold backing of currencies and the end of fiat debt-based money system is moving quickly.

No sooner was it that I wrote an article talking about how Russia was going to back the ruble with gold than “one of the Russia’s most powerful security/intelligence officers and a close ally of Putin” has admitted the country’s intentions to do just that.
And I’m predicting that no sooner will the gravity of this decision finally sink in with the West that China will follow closely in Russia’s footsteps and do the same...

An update on the Russian Ruble gold fix. They stated that they would buy Gold at 5000 Rubles per gram. When they said that the official market price was around 6500 Rubles per gram.
The price now is 3,789 RUB per gram. Looks like a great arbitrage to me, if you could only work out how to borrow dollars, buy gold and sell it to Russia.
